Arnaud Gorini, the owner and manager of the Chalet de la Marine, has built up a loyal team over the years: Coco, who runs the Tradition restaurant, has been with us for 15 years, and Mathilde Mattera, the head chef, has been with us for 11 years.

Sherpas Passang and Nima are also part of the adventure, joining the team each winter. Then they return to their Nepalese lives for the rest of the year.

Like a tradition, the team is reunited every year in a professional and friendly atmosphere that is reflected in the restaurant's generous and well-crafted cuisine.

Mathilde Mattera, head chef

In 2015, Chef Mathilde Mattera took over the reins of the kitchen, under the guidance of Romuald Fassenet.

For her, who started out with the starred chef Olivier Nasti in a tarte flambée restaurant in Alsace, "the Chalet is an extraordinary place with a unique terrace" and in a word: authentic.

The Chalet de la Marine team likes to develop the restaurant, to propose new suggestions and to work with top quality fresh products, which are supplied every day by snowmobile or snowcat, whatever the weather.
